Thank you for wanting to get involved with The SOULE Foundation, we really appreciate your interest.

We are always in need of support to further our mission, to empower the educational advancement of LGBTQ+ Youth of Color. Please take a look at the current areas we need support in below.

We seek Experienced grant writers to pursue program-related funding, scholarship funding, as well as funding for general operating expenses.

Projects include development proposals, letter-writing, templates for future applications, and foundation research. We are interested in enthusiastic volunteers with leadership abilities, who can oversee a writing team. While a background in grant writing is preferred, we welcome all applicants with strong writing skills. Help us to acquire the means to serve the LGBTQ Youth that dreams to be more than their circumstances.

We are seeking a marketing/social media intern to help develop social media content. 5-10 hours each week. This is a remote-based opportunity.

Responsibilities may include:

Assisting in tasks related to marketing/social media strategy.
Staying on top of LGBTQIA+news and current events
Assisting with social media content development.
Working with editors to create a social media marketing calendar across all platforms

Requirements:

Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong knowledge of social media platforms.
Graphic Design skills a must. ( Photoshop, Canva)

The Communications Associate will be instrumental in helping to develop key messaging for sharing our mission and impact on social media, Soule Foundations website, blog, storytelling, newsletters, mailings, outreach, and events.

Responsibilities:
– Construct a biweekly Newsletter to send to students sharing scholarship opportunities, student highlights, etc
– Construct a quarterly Newsletter to send to out to sponsors and donors about the programs that we are creating and how we are engaging youth.
– Assist with constructing key messaging in terms of outreach and events.
– Other related duties

Qualifications
– Should have good understanding of voice and social media presence of SOULE FOUNDATION
– Self-starter; ability to initiate and work independently
– Ability to interact professionally with potential partners and donors in person, via phone, and email
– Ability to multitask and prioritize
– Experience using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign

The Data Surveyor and Analyst will be instrumental in helping the SOULE Foundation develop a list of top schools to attend for individuals that identify as LGBTQ+ and as a person of color. This is instrumental in helping support success in their education by allowing them to pick a school that is affirming to their racial, gender, and sexual identities.

Responsibilities:
– Begin with university data acquired by campusprideindex.org and cross-reference data about DEI at select institutions
– Connect with institutions to obtain data about their LGBTQ+ clubs and presence.
– Survey current/former students about the climate at institutions.

Qualifications
– Self-starter; ability to initiate and work independently
– Ability to interact professionally with potential partners in person, via phone, and email
– Ability to multitask and prioritize
– Experience using Survey Monkey and MS Excel
